What’s new (IVR, WhatsApp calling, voice)

Voice & IVR (phone calls)

  • IVR Bots — Build voice call flows (menus, keypad input, text-to-speech, transfers, HTTP calls) separately from your chat bots. Scenarios can be inbound (caller dials your number) or outbound (you trigger a call that runs the script).

  • Link a number to IVR — On SMS / Voice campaigns with a voice-capable number, you can choose what happens when someone calls that number, including forwarding the call to a published IVR scenario.

  • Browser softphone — If your workspace has voice features, you can place and receive VoIP calls from the app using a voice-capable campaign (microphone permission required).

  • Test outbound IVR — From the IVR builder you can launch a test call to a phone number using a voice-capable campaign as the caller ID (after the scenario is published).

WhatsApp calling

  • Voice calls on WhatsApp — When calling is enabled for your WhatsApp Business number, customers can start voice calls with you on WhatsApp.

  • Answer in the Inbox — While you’re in a WhatsApp conversation, an incoming call can ring in the app. You can answer, reject, or end the call from the Inbox (your browser may ask for microphone access when you answer).

  • Turn calling on or off — In your WhatsApp campaign’s profile / business settings, use the calling toggle to enable or disable WhatsApp voice calls for that number (subject to Meta/WhatsApp availability and approval for your account).

Other improvements

  • IVR flow editor — Richer building blocks (e.g. branching, switches, capture speech/DTMF, dial to agents) and global voice settings (language, voice, speech rate) for text-to-speech across the scenario.

  • Clearer campaign setup — Inbound call handling and IVR assignment are grouped with voice-capable number setup where applicable.
